It looks like this monitor isn't supported in Ubuntu 9.04 (the resolution isn't correctly detected), so we have to do a bit of manual configuration, according to this Ubuntu bug report. The open source drivers bundled with Ubuntu don't seem to support this, however.
Touch Screen
The touchscreen doesn't work by default either. It requires some proprietary drivers, downloadable here: http://www.xenarc.com/driver-touch1.html. Alternatively, there's the manufacturer's page: http://home.eeti.com.tw/web20/eGalaxTouchDriver/linuxDriver.htm.
