Hardware

  • Implementing the new design
  • Need to find new encoders --- turns out the ones we picked out were too expensive
  • Redistributed the weight on the testing platform

Electronics

  • Went to order parts --- turns out that the one part that we depend on is out of stock everywhere; it's now only available in surface mount, so things are going to have to be changed
  • We had a circuit board made; unfortunately the board doesn't match the Gerber file and it doesn't match the surface mount
  • Decided on one large centralized enclosure for the new robot
  • Going to move the circuit breaker relay to the board for each motor
  • Got a GPS to print off an error message about an authorization key; the rest don't print out messages at all

Software

  • Got the computer working again
  • Got the wireless working

Misc

  • Got an e-mail back from Ray Niehaus at Pike Central High School; he's very excited
