Administrative meeting 6th week of winter quarter

Hardware

• Pretty good shape --- on schedule
• Some of the pillow blocks weren't within tolerance, so making a new set
• Frame ~75% complete --- just needs some more holes
• Need to re-machine a plate to mount the camera pole on
• Wrote a section of the proposal yesterday --- parts of that will probably be useful for the competition paper later

Electronics

• Going to have a motor controller board made tomorrow
  • Now have the parts in; will build one once the board is back

Software

• The Microstrain is working
• The (test) GPS is working too
• Can work on navigation based on direction and position
• Also have been working on image distortion and line detection

Administrative

• Elections coming up at the end of this quarter
  • Will send out an e-mail
• Getting credit
  • To be modeled after Challenge X
  • Not going to happen by spring, because Dr. Fisher can't spend enough time with us next quarter
  • Dr. Fisher wants to do this --- it's planned for Fall quarter
  • Will be offerred by ME department --- not sure about cross credit (CS/EE)
• Jay wants to build a real time structured light imaging system for the robot, is working on that
• Need to clean up the lab space
