All-team Meeting 2009-10-25

Hardware

  • Did quite a bit over break
    • Redesigned chassis to fit the cases better --- cases will be on lower level, payload on top
    • Ryan has been working on camera stabilization system, talking to Dr. Cunningham
    • Colin has been working on finding shock absorbers for the wheels
    • Have e-mailed 80/20 people about ordering all the parts; home to hear back this week and have the parts by next weekend

Electronics

  • CAN board is ready for Software to write their part
  • Design for PoE board is complete; need to get parts for that and build a prototype
  • Jon has been working on the IR sensors

Software

  • Tom has been doing work on the GUI
  • A rough software implementation plan has been written up
  • Kevin has been working on refactoring the old image processing code
    • Removing navigation logic and keeping pixel classification

Administrative

  • K.C. Butler from EnerDel is talking to Emerging Power this week
  • Have talked to the Development office --- he says that he can try to get big-ticket items for us
    • What we want:
      • LIDAR --- Tom to pick one
      • Cameras?
