Vision is an important part of our system because we use it for both obstacle detection and detection of white lines.

Stereo Vision

Stereo vision is a way to determine the three-space location of objects relative to the camera much as the human eye functions.

Single-camera stereo:

•  Single-camera stereo vision for obstacle detection in mobile robots
•  Vision based 3D obstacle detection using a single camera for robots/UAVs
•  Ground plane obstacle detection with a stereo vision system
